Evaluating a location-based game to support citizens' situated reflection on history: a mixed-method approach

This paper describes the process and findings of a critical evaluation conducted for custom-made Location based game (LBG) designed to support reflection on social history. We use mixed-method protocol answer following research questions: “Can LBG be stimulate situated history topics? “What form type reflections can occur when participating in LBG? Using an innovative approach that took inspiration from field museum studies computer science. chose Think-aloud conduct Valletta, Malta adapted Remind study explore participant experience Luxembourg. combined transcripts both sets experiments wiith user-generated content complete systematic analysis using predefined set qualitative codes. were able identify topics but depth depends content, individual locations city, personal connections players are make both.
